Dandelion Flower Knitting Stitch

A beautiful knitting stitch creating amazing dandelion flowers

Dandelion flower stitch is a bit more time consuming and it might be a bit more challenging to beginners, but the end result is worth the effort.

  1. having problem.... are you going to do a video??

  2. Yes, it is being uploaded.

  3. This is beautiful, I look forward to learning to do this. When I tried to watch the video it states it is private did I miss something? Thank you for your help.

  4. The video is listed as private.... would really like to watch it! I don't understand what the second row means by 'wrap the five stitches twice'

  5. Never mind! The video works now and I understand. thank you!

  6. Sorry -- I fell in love with this pattern and needed the video to figure it out, but now all of the written instructions are gone :( And I don't speak German so I can't understand the video outside of visual learning (and I knit English so even that's a bit of a challenge!) Could you put the written instructions back up, please?

  7. You need a stitch number multiple of 6sts.
Cast on: 30 sts and please note: from 1:25 to 8:52 and from 10:20 to 15:20 of the video
    (8:55 -> 9:40: Knit all sts)
    Happy knitting!

  8. I am so sorry, it was copyrighted :(

  9. You can use a cable needle for this row, wrap yarn twice clockwise

  10. is there someway to find the written pattern for this stitch other than the video. I have searched the web over and when i go to the german site it does not have a link for the written pattern. Any help would be great. Thanks

  11. I can't write detailed instructions because the dandelion pattern is copyright. I'm sorry.

  13. I just discovered this wonderful blog! What a surprise! You are a very enchanteress! Thank you! Nicole

  14. introduced in Barbara Aytes book "Adventures in Knitting" published in 1968 - p. 79 - she called it "Lacy Daisy" and claims to have invented it.. I would be more prone to use Elizabeth Zimmermann's term "unvented" ;)

  15. What a useful information!
    Thanks

  16. I just used these stitches for baby hat - so cute :-)
